If you are missing several teeth, you may wonder, “How many dental implants can be done at once?” The answer is that it depends on your health, your jawbone strength, and the type of treatment you need. In many cases, multiple implants can be placed during a single appointment.
For patients who are missing just one or two teeth, we can place single implants at the same visit, as long as there is enough healthy bone to support them. This is a common and safe approach that allows us to restore your smile more quickly.
If you are missing more teeth, we can often place several implants in one day. Some patients may receive four, six, or even more implants during the same appointment. This is especially common with treatments like All-on-4 or full-mouth implant restorations, where multiple implants are placed to support an entire set of teeth.
Of course, not everyone is a candidate for many implants at once. If your bone is weak or thin, you may need a bone graft first to make sure the implants are stable. In those cases, the process might be spread out over more appointments to allow for proper healing.
