Does Delta Dental Cover Implants?
By Dr. Eastwood – Summerbrook Dental & Implants, Fort Worth, TX
One of the most common insurance questions I hear is, “Does Delta Dental cover implants?” The answer is—it depends on your specific Delta Dental plan. Delta Dental offers many different types of coverage, and not all of them include dental implants.
Some Delta Dental plans provide partial coverage for implants. This means the insurance may help pay for certain parts of the treatment, such as the crown that attaches to the implant or the tooth extraction before the implant is placed. In some cases, they may cover the implant surgery itself, but this is less common with basic plans.
Other plans may not cover implants at all, but they might cover alternative treatments like bridges or dentures. If implants are not listed in your plan, you can still get them—you would just be responsible for the full cost.
The only way to know for sure is to review your plan details or have our office check your benefits for you. At Summerbrook Dental & Implants, my team works with many patients who have Delta Dental. We can contact your insurance, explain your coverage, and help you understand your out-of-pocket costs before starting treatment.
If your plan does not cover implants, we also offer third-party financing so you can make monthly payments that fit your budget. My goal is to help you find the best way to get the treatment you need—without unnecessary stress.
We are a no-judgment office, so whether you have full coverage, partial coverage, or none at all, we will treat you with the same care and respect.
