How much do dental implants cost in Fort Worth, Texas in 2025?

One of the most common questions we hear at our dental office is wondering how much dental implants cost. Many patients are curious because they are missing teeth or looking at replacing a tooth with an implant, and may be considering whether the cost of of the implant is worth it or not. In general, the cost depends on several factors:

  1. Implant Body – $1,000-3,000
    • This is the titanium (or zirconia) part that goes into the jaw bone, similar to a tooth root
  2. Abutment – $500-$1000
    • This is a “connector” that goes between the implant body and the tooth or crown on top. It pretty much attaches the replacement tooth to the implant in a stable fashion.
    • Price can vary depending on the type of abutment (prefabricated or custom), and whether the abutment is an authentic manufacturer part or 3rd party “copy/clone” part.
  3. Crown – $1200-$3,000
    • This is the part you see in your mouth, the part that actually looks and functions like a tooth. Typically made of a zirconia ceramic material, but can be made of other materials such as porcelain, gold, etc.

So adding those 3 parts up, the typical total cost range is $2700-$7,000. Implants that cost on the lower end are likely having “copy/clone” parts used to decrease cost, but this can potentially lead to fracture, missfit, or parts breaking several years down the road because the “copy/clone” parts from 3rd party manufacturers are typically not made to the same specifications/design as the original implant manufacturer parts.

Things that can increase the cost of an implant:

  1. Tooth Extraction – $300-$800
  2. Bone Grafting with implant placement
    • Simple bone grafting: $300-$1,000
      • Simple bone grafting may be needed if the implant is being placed at the same time as removing a tooth.
      • Pricing can vary depending on the bone graft material being used, or if treatments such as PRF/PRP are done with the grafting
    • Complex bone grafting
      • Sinus Graft – $1,000-$2500
      • Necessary if there is not enough bone under the maxillary sinus (top jaw molar area) to place an implant to the proper depth.
    • Vertical/horizontal bone grafting $500-$2,000
      • May be necessary if there is not enough bone to place an implant
      • Typically done in lower jaw area or top front jaw.
  3. Sedation
    • IV sedation – $500+
      • Not necessary, but can make the process less scary
    • Oral secation – $300+
      • Not necessary, less expensive than IV sedation but not as effective either.

So in general the cost of a single tooth dental implant may range from $2500 to over $7,000 depending on if additional procedures or grafting is needed, and depending on the type of parts used.
